Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort

The resort is beautiful and well kept. The private beach is magnificent and just steps away from each unit. The office staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Each unit is individually owned so the furniture is at the owners discretion. Unit 233 needs updated furniture and appliances. The couch and chair are outdated, stained and extremely uncomfortable. The same furniture has been there for years. The microwave surface light does not work, the outside of the stove has rust on it and the garbage disposal smells regardless of the times water is run through it. I would rate this unit as the lower end of the one bedroom units. I would highly recommend the resort as a whole but not unit 233 until the furniture and appliances are replaced.

Very nice location on a private Longboat Key beach. The studio room was clean and comfortable and would up being everything we needed as a very convenient base for exploring the beach and surrounding area. Only complaints were the bed wasn't the most comfortable and the grills by the pool did not work - but everything else about the Silver Sands more than met our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful - and we would definitely consider another stay in the future.

Maybe I'm too critical considering the recent hurricane but it could do with an update. Location is great. Staff helpful. Some condos much better than others. Good for families.

So glad we found this. Right on the beach and very quiet. Definitely will be back. Going to be our sister's trip..

Honestly I don't want to tell anybody about this because it's amazing. It's like having your own private beach. it's nice and quiet everything is perfect. From the lovely pool the quiet rooms, the extra amenities like pool toys and things for kids to build sand castles with. There's a lot of beautiful sea life available we saw manatees stingrays Dolphins crabs a variety of seashells were available. The staff is incredibly attentive and lovely. Longboat Key is amazing. we've spent many vacations up and down the coast of Florida both East and West coasts and this has been fantastic so far

Great rooms and heated pool! There are grills available to use and the beach is super quiet. If you stay in one of the end rooms it feels like you are on a private island. Nothing beats being able to walk right out on the beach one way or go to the pool the other.

We had another great trip. The room was very nice. The pool area needs some upkeep. We have been coming here for about 12 years now, and the pool is starting to show its age, with a few broken chairs and umbrellas. They could also use another table and perhaps a few more smaller tables. However, I did see management walking around the pool area so I'm very encouraged that an update to the pool might be in the future. Can't wait to come back next year or 2027 depending on how our schedule works out.

This was a great little condo with a massive bed, full size fridge, cable tv, table, stove and all the amenities you would need. We had the sweetest host who left us a big bag of salt water taffy on the table and also had muffins and juice delivered to our door. Also, you are right on the beach and they are stocked with everything you need to make a day by the water great. Nice fold out chairs, umbrellas, kids toys. They thought of everything. We will definitely be back!
